Performance

The Magnus Infinity G20 comes with 1.3GHz 8-core processor.   This processor is paired with 2GB of RAM.  We had a lot of apps running at the same time and they were all loading the right way. This smartphone scored a solid 36949 on AnTuTu Benchmark. We also compared the Infinity G20 with other phones in its price range. Here are a few screen shots;

The Infinity G20 provides 32GB internal storage space. This is far more than what you get from most mid-range phones (most have 16GB internal storage space). You can use a micro SD card to expand the storage space by up to 64GB.

The 3000mAh battery does not disappoint. This phone can easily take you through a full day of heavy use.

Camera

This is where this phone really shines. Well, when you are looking for a phone under 20k, it’s easy to be attracted to phones that have cameras with high megapixel count.  Unfortunately, you can easily end up buying a phone with a high megapixel count but that takes crappy photos. We have seen many 8MP cameras that are better than 13MP cameras.

The Magnus Infinity G20 has a 13MP back camera and a 5MP front camera. These cameras are impressive especially when used outdoors.

Here are some unedited pictures taken by the 13MP rear camera:

The 5MP selfie camera is equally good. Sometimes it was hard to tell the difference between the photos taken by the back camera & those taken by the front facing camera.

The pros

  • Solid performance
  • Rich, bright HD screen
  • Impressive battery life
  • Good audio quality
  • Better than average loudspeaker
  • Excellent camera performance outdoors

The cons

  • No fast charging
  • Non-removable battery

  1. Sounds irresistible…how does it compare to tecno c 9? Which between the two would you confidently advise?

    1. Tecno C9 is a camera phone. If you are camera focused, the C9 is a better choice. Don’t get it wrong, The Magnus Infinity G20 has decent cameras too. Both the back & front cameras take nice photos. Performance-wise, Magnus Infinity is amazing. Under normal use, its battery can easily take you through 2 days. The phone does not heat up or lag when gaming or when you open several apps at the same time. It is slimmer than the C9 & it looks good. You will impressed when you listen to music via its earphones. Unfortunately, its back is sticky & ages very fast if you don’t have a protective cover.

In short, if you are looking for a camera phone, choose the Tecno C9. If you are looking for great performance, choose the Magnus Infinity.
Ultimately, it boils down to what you really want.
